I am using the caswell plating degreaser in a metal pot on the stove when my wife,s not looking, ok, LOL, but overnite and a day or two go,s buy ,and it almost evaporates. Im taking up to 170 degree,s, Any secrets to making it last longer??

Depending on how dirty your parts are to begin with you may not even need the SP degreaser.
I just did a small batch of steel hardware and first I derusted them in a solution of muriatc acid and water followed by light scrubbing with a stainless brush. Then I rinsed them off with tap water and let them sit. Once I had them all done this way I changed gloves and then did final brushing with simple green and a stainless brush follwed by rinsing with tap water and drying with comprerssed air. The parts were copy cad plated and turned out beautiful! Moral of the story is that I think Simple Green is an excellent degreaser! |
