Default satin chrome finish ?
Im looking to to get a finish equilivent of that found on micrometers and other such tools. Im making a new dial for a lathe that I plan on having the scale laser etched

Default Re: satin chrome finish ?
Make the base metal satin by bead blasting, or buffing with a scrubber wheel, then plate. The plated finish takes on the finish of the base metal.
