Okay I have the Nickel/Copper combo kit and some Zincate. I am trying to plate an aluminum part. After reading the manual it says something on the lines that I need to (flash copper) the part after I zincate it not (acid copper) it. The combo kit comes with the acid copper not the flash copper. Can I go from the zincate right to the acid copper or do I need to buy the other kit?

You can go from zincate to nickel. Make sure you rinse off zincate before you nickel. It can hurt your nickel bath. I like to double zincate (zincate, rinse, sulfuric acid dip for 10 sec.,rinse, zincate, rinse) then flash copper. Then to acid copper if needed. Todd
