Default Contamination of various “pickles” or plating baths

I’m not sure what each “plating” bath is called… might be a “pickle”, but how do you keep them clean after making mistakes like taking items from the SP Cleaner right into the Zinc/Copy Cad plating bath or right from the plating bath to a Chromate bath without the distilled water rinse?

When I spoke to Caswells tech support, they suggested for the Zinc/Copy Cad to pour it through an old T-shirt, which I did. It’s still a little cloudy, but it seems to plate just fine.

How about the stuff at the bottom of the SP Cleaner and Black Chromate bath? Do I need to get rid of any particulate at the bottom of my baths?

Removing contaminants from plating tanks is covered here:

Particulate usually doesn't bother the plating, but if it gets real bad, filter it out.
