Default Plating a disc for record stampers?

Hi, I cut plastic discs using an antique record lathe. I'm thinking about building a DIY record press. I already cut the masters, and I can already build the press to put the plates on. I'm only missing the step in between, making a metal plate of the record to stamp with.
I was wondering what the best method of stamper making would be?
Basically I'm cutting grooves into a 2 thin pieces of plastic and I'm wanting to plate them and squish a hot blob of plastic inbetween them with a ton of pressure. Is there a DIY plating system that can hold up to this?
I've seen the page for the Silvaspray. I see it comes in 8oz. I'm not sure how many plates I'd be able to make with that. Anybody got a rough estimate? Also, will this way of plating maintain the fine detail that's needed in a record groove?

Here's a video for anyone not familiar with the record cutting process. Please give it a look and tell me what you think about this; What the best method to go about this would be.
