I am trying to copy cad a choke plate off a 4 bl. carb. ive done it at least 6 times with no troubles, Now it does not seem to want to plate along the outside edges, plating is irregular edges are dark gray in color, Ive plated at least 6 of them before at 1.6 amps and .9 volts with no troubles. Temp. is at 105, i glassbeaded parts, pickled them, rinsed with distilled water and plated, could my pickle solution be to strong?? I just changed it?? Im worried my copy cad solution has gotten weak on me.

Sounds to me like too much current to begin with. The dark gray is evidence of burning.
3" x 1.5" x 2-sides is 9 sq-in, @.14 ASI gives 1.26 amps. Why did you choose 1.6? The edges of large flat pieces are higher current density areas, so get more of it to begin with. Sean
