Default Zincate and cobalt plating kit

I just had the most incredible answer from Caswell online support.
When I asked them for a link to the instructions on plating aluminum as I wanted to see if it was doable by me before I ordered they told me to buy a manual.
My question is this.
Before I order the product are there any links out there on a step by step basis for chroming my aluminum Yamaha Vmax scoops and is their tech support more helpful than the person I was in chat with?
Simple question.
Any help is appreciated.

Unless you have some physical or mental challenge that would restrict your ability to read, follow direction and handle caustic chemicals safely, you should be able to do it.

Probably not. The detailed instructions for plating are for a process not specific parts.

Can I get the ticket number that you got that answer from?? I want I know who gave you such an unhelpful and rude answer.

Using zincate is pretty simple (in fact, the instructions are right on the web site). You dip the polished part in the zincate for a few seconds, then go into the plating kit.

We recommend flash copper plating before cobalt or nickel, because over a long time, the zincate will contaminate the cobalt or nickel baths with zinc.

It's not the end of the world if that happens. The zinc can easily be plated out onto dummy pieces of metal to restore your solution.
