I am trying to remove copper deposits from a carbon steel tube. Copper deposits are not uniformly distributed through out the tube. I was thinking of reverse electroplating, by inserting a steel rod into the tube and attaching it to a power source. Anyone have any experience with anything like this?
The steel tube can not have a worse surface finish after the process. If any of the steel is removed I would rather look further into chemical stripping processes that will not harm the surface finish. Anyone have any experience doing anything like this? Thanks |
