Nickel plating over chrome
I am building a new guitar, and I'd like a nickle finish on the bridge and control plate rather than the shiny new chrome finish. I've read a bit about how to make chrome take on a satin finish, and I might go that route. However, I'm not exactly looking for satin, rather, I want the slightly duller, more aged looking nickel finish.
After searching here, I haven't found the answer to this question: Can nickel be plated over chrome? I have the Caswell nickel plating kit that I use for plating car parts, and I'm wondering if a light sandblasting and degreasing followed by nickel plate would work.

You will have to remove the existing chrome plating before you can apply another layer of nickel. Using the chrome stripper and GP plate reverse the leads (+) to piece (-) to GP then set 12 volts DC.
