New guy looking for advice

Folks,

I'm new to electroplating, just set up one bucket this weekend and began experimenting. Im using the Shoe bronzing kit. I've just set up the copper to get the hang of it before setting all my tanks up.

I seem to be having a problem plating in the nooks and crannys of the things I'm trying to plate.

I've been plating at the following Amps / Volts

baby pasifier 2.2A at 0.7v (I couldn't dial up the volts they were maxed)
baby shoe 4.5A at 1.2V

I notice that the volts are low. I have used a good number of copper wire to conect the items in the tank, and I have the water heated up to 40 degrees C (112F). The last shoes I sprayed 3 times very thurough with Silvaspray.

I get a good build up of copper coating except in the corners and nooks, there is nothing but silvaspray showing through.

I have even taken these items out of the bath, dried them and re coated with silvaspray in the corners, replate, but no luck.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
