Plating jukebox parts
is the nickle plating kit appropriate for this?
i have tried to buff them, but some have the nickle worn off completely - dull metal underneath and the pieces are heavy they are also pitted a bit, do i just have to keep buffing until it is smooth before plating? this is for a 40's Wurlitzer mark

Do you know what these parts are made of? Steel? Perhaps you ca hunt around on the net for people who own similar products and ask someone.
You need to get the pits out before plating. You can try some fine wet and dry paper if buffing isn't getting the pits out fast enough.
