Default Brush plating with black chrome

Can you achieve a "factory style" look plating chrome emblems on vehicles? Tried to do this both with chrome plating on and also removing "stripping" the chrome but cannot get it to apply. Same goes for copy chrome. I can get the fast gold to work but finish always seems dull.

I believe so. And as I recall had somewhat decent results. But I'm more concerned with the black chrome. I can't seem to get it to work. I followed the instructions as with copy chrome but can't get it to apply.

is this the general process please?

    "Black Krome™ Kit

The system will plate within a couple of minutes over a nickel or copper base. To plate over chrome, the existing chrome plate must be removed by stripping with SD Anodise and Chrome Stripper. "

Well it is except for the SD Anodise. Not familiar with that and this is the first time I've heard of it. I do use a general chrome stripper and remove the chrome. I use a typical muratic acid stripper.
