Default How to best protect brushed aluminum flag pole

I have cleaned a 14' brushed aluminum flag pole, which want to maintain this nice brushed aluminum appearance. Is it best to clear coat or some type of other protective coating?

Yeah, you'll need to coat it with something. (or have it anodized) Probably the easiest and the longest lasting home choice would be to spray it with an automotive clear urethane. These have UV inhibitors and will last a long time in the open elements.

if it's too difficult to use a liquid clear or powder clear, you can use zoop seal. it'd have to be re-done every 2-3 years.
