Default Polishing Finned Aluminum Valve Covers?

What do you guys use to get in between fins on aluminum valve covers?
Small buffing wheel on Dremel or drill, or large fluffy wheel on your buffer?
    Thanks,
    Grumpy

not knowing the gap in between the fins on your covers i would say the largest buff that will fit in between the fins , if the area in side the fins ie already smooth then you might get away with a large fluffy wheel ,if it is rough then you need a stiffer buffging wheel with greasless compound

Great, thanks. I'll try the loose fluffy first.

If the loose fluffy isnt abrasive enough, use a "razor buff" like a normal sisal or close stitch mop but very thin, like 1/8" or 3.1mm, regards,
