Hi I'm new here and I am going to start doing some polishing of my own stuff. I couldn't afford a big brand name buffer nor did I see the sense in buying a buffing only tool. So I opted to buy a bench grinder and turn it into a buffer, I had been wanting a bench grinder anyway and I figured that having two tools in one would be the way to go. Here is my question:
I bought a used craftsman proffesional 8" variable speed bench grinder off Ebay , got it for a pretty good price (about half of new price) and Im at this point waiting for it to come in... the people I bought it frm are kinda slow shippers but I knew that getting into this.. Ive bought from them before.
Since Im waiting I figured it would give me time to order all the other accesories Ill be needing , both to convert the grinder and all the buffing wheels and the different "rouges" Ill be needing.
So to my point does anyone KNOW what size the shaft is on that particular bench grinder so I can order the shaft adapter from caswell ? I wanna get the extended one so I have more room to work on my pcs. I will include a link to the craftsman website so you can see which grinder Im talking about... If no one knows I guess I can wait till it comes in but Id really like to be able to get polishing as soon as it comes in... Im in the middle of a Suzuki Quadracer Rebuild and Im gonna polish the entire motor the swing arm the brakes just about anything that can be polished WILL BE !!! I cant wait!!
