Burnt stainless steel tools

I have stock of hardware mechanical tools in my store. Store got fire n my all tools burnt in it . Tools are high quality n very costly. I want to make them shiny again in reasonable cost so i could sell them at old prices. Please help me out . I really need ur help

How hot did they get? Are they annealed from the heat? Whether that matters depends upon what the tools are. Wrenches, cold chisels, and other tools that take a lot of strain, and have been overheated, are worthless.

You can polish them on a cotton buff with a stainless compound. That will probably restore their finish.

Did your insurance not reimburse you for the tools? As was already mentioned, depending on the temperature the tools could be unsafe to use and there is no way for you to know that unless you get them tested. I hope you have a good lawyer if you decide to polish them and sell them without disclosing to the purchaser that they may be damaged.

No... Nothing was insured.... 2ndly i dont need any lawer or something like it to sell anything in pakistan..... But we considering the belief of our valuable customers will sell them at reduced prices and also tell them reality abt the product.... I think so there is no danger in selling repaired spanners or combination sets
