Hi all, just thought i'd use my first post to say hi to all!
I have been meaning to register here for a while as i have browsed the pages a few times and wanted to be a part of the community.
I'm new to the forum but not to metal polishing, i have been polishing metal in my spare time as a hobby for a few years, just doing parts for myself and for friends on cars, bikes, custom stuff, ect, always learning and building my tools / skills as i have gone on.
It's just metal polishing that i do at the moment, but looking into learning about other finishing methods in the near future, plating and powder coating in particular.
I'm interested to see what kind of techniques, materials, ect you guys use over in the U.S. and hope to build on my current knowledge, and maybe also give some help and advice in return.
Regards, Andrew

welcome Andrew ,
Cheers Baz / Rasper!
The metal polishing topic has never been the most active here, but recently there seems to be less of it going on. Good to have a new polisher here.

Oh i see, well i have been polishing metal to a mirror finish as a hobby for years (i will get some photos of my work up soon!) and feel confident to give help and advice to others about any aspect of metal polishing.
I'd like to learn more about nickel / chrome plating and powder coating and hopefully have a go at that in the future. I am currently reading all the info before i start asking questions! ha ha
Regards,
ahhhh another person in the Uk. Thats what i like to see. Would be appraciative if we could talk about what tools you are using,l mainly for the fine detailing work.
I had a conversation with Baz about the cartridge rolls but im not sure if i can get on with them. Although Baz did say they took him a while to master.
greaseless and felt bobs is great but is there anything you've found that can help you steer away from greaseless as it takes to long reloadin mops every few minutes.
