I am looking at doing some light duty polishing and need an electric die grinder? or some type of high speed rotary tool that I can chuck a 1/4 inch bit into that will hold a small 3m pad...with sand paper and buffing pads..
Harbor Freight? Tractor supply?? I'd like something a little more h/d than a dremel but can start with a dremel if needed...

NEW to powdercoating. Still building my setup.
Baz is right on. I have three of them and they cost less than 100 dollars total for all three. They seem to last forever. I get mine from Northern Tools, their own brand. I like the angle grinders best. The speed is quite variable with air grinders, which is a must for polishing with a high speed tool. Make sure you get one that exhausts from the rear of the tool, not the front, for polishing. You don't want the lubricating oil getting all over your work.

yes i also like the angle grinder , i have an assortment of die grinder ,1 angle, 3 smaller ones that i use with crtridge rolls and other small tools and 2 larger ones that i use with larger wheels like the 3 or 4 inches . i am using my tools under very high psi 145 to 170 psi ,they don t last as long but they sure have plenty of torque . i do not buy the most expensive brand either .
