I'll try again,,so I am using brown tripoli,with yellow 10"airway wheels,,on an angle polisher at 3000 rpm,and i have trouble with lines ,cloudy lines,,and wondering the best way to get rid of these

Make sure you are "crossing your lines" each time you drop down to a finer grit/buff. Also make sure before you do this, that all the lines are coming out. Crossing your lines will make it easier to see what you didn't get out at the last step. If the lines are too heavy, go back to a grease belt. Remember, aluminum is very soft and it doesn't take much to put lines back in even when buffing.

I'm still looking for a way to get the buff lapmarks & lines out of flat aluminum panels,after cutting with tripoli,before proceeding to green or white.And any tips from anyone on keeping the clouds & lines down when using green or white.Polishing dump truck boxes,,,nothing but a nightmare.
