Default Water spots on "new" aluminum

I'm building a Cobra replica and have a question on cleaning water spots from aluminum wheels. My wheels have not been on the road yet, so no road contaminants to deal with. A few months ago I got a few water spots on the wheels and didn't realize it. They are now noticeably spotted. I've got Zoopseal to treat them with, but need to get the spots off first. Any suggestions for an aluminum cleaner that will take the spots off and preserve the original finish before Zoopseal?

Thanks,

Chuck
