Thanks Skiddz I guess I finally found a reason to use my web space . I think im goning to bite the bullet and check out my local dealer Tuesday. For only a couple of parts I really hate to pay the sipping and handleing. Then again it still might be cheaper than the ripoff shops around here.

Im working on my third rim right now and man the results get better each time. Im learning to sand them alot more first and not be so lazy. Plus I finally went out and bought the sandpaper that i've been needing (320 grit). I had plenty of 400 and 600 but needed the 320.

I also need to go out and buy a digital camera instead of relying on my brother inlaw so I can post more pics. The ones I took this weekend didn't turn out all that great but I still post them.

Look good from here man.. I dug my old rims outta storage this morning. Gotta bust these old ITP Holeshots off of 'em and pull the valve stem and get 'em shiny... Then off to ebay they go! lol

<gloat>
Yet another beautiful day today. Played 18 holes in shorts and got a little color. Man the weather sucks in Southern California.. lol

Didja get your web stuff figured out? Hopefully my mail from this morning didn't get ya too outta whack.

Im glad to hear that the weather in your area is just great, its getting colder here again 30's in the morning upper 50's daytime. No way im playing golf in this **** weather, been their done that.

Ya your info on in your email helped but I think my problem is with the way I have my files. Could you email me an example of how you have your files setup. With my isp I have to have my main folder named index.html, thats no prob but whats the files inside that folder supposed to look like. I ended up just uploading the jpg's to my webspace so I could post. This weekend when I have more time i'll give the site another try. Also when you post a pic what size do you generally make it?

One more thing when your working on a large piece off your bike about how long does it take you to sand, if its in pretty bad shape? Man it seems like i've been sanding forever on these rims, about 3hours a rim. Of course they were in pretty bad shape.

Went and hit a couple buckets this morning. 1st appointment wasn't until 11 and I wasn't gonna **** away the sunshine sittin' here in the office. hehe

All my stuff is just stuffed into the root of my web space. The main DOCUMENT should be index.htm or index.html. The URL to your web space *is* the main folder. Any folders under that are up to you. Just make sure ya reference 'em in your code. I started posting pics at 1024x768, but ran outta web space pretty quick. Now I post 'em at 640x480. Keeps the file sizes down to about 80k each instead of 500+k each.

The longest I've had to sand was about an hour and that was a seriously beat to snot rear brake lever. I had to start with my belt sander and 80 grit and finished up with greaseless up to 320. Lots of hand sanding to get into the "teeth" on the pedal part..

The rear link took a while too, mainly 'cuz the casting was pretty crappy. Lots of casting lines and bubbles to sand out, not to mention the 15 years of dings I put in the thing. Did that primarily with a small sanding drum on the dremel to knock down the heavy stuff, then used my orbital to finish it up. A little wet sanding in the "pocket" near the shock mount, but I don't think it took as long as that damned brake lever.

I just got the rear axle/bearing carrier bolted on tonight a(pics are up) and tomorrow's project is to try and complete it enough to get the back wheels on and get that end off the jackstands. That means the rear skidplate is gonna need attention. A LOT of attention. Got 1 big dent and bazillions of rock scrapes and dings. I doubt I'll sand it out perfect - I'd have to reduce the thickness of the aluminum quite a bit to do so.

When i finish my rims its on to a ton of other items. My new swingarm skid came in and I just can't resist not polishing it, but my rims need to be finished first.

I'll probably have to put most of the stuff off till I get back from my Pismo trip. I'm not going till late March but I don't want to be in the middle of polishing something then have to rush to have my bike ready for the trip.

I hear ya. I'm in a mad dash to get mine at least running by this Friday. Everyone's headed to Glamis for the "After holiday weekend calm"..

Got the rear suspension done today and just finished bolting on the cooling system. Still got a LOT of little things to polish and bolt up before I start the adjustment and tweaking phase...

Body plastic arrived today.. In yellow! Doesn't quite match the RED that I ordered last week. I'm HOPING the stuff arrives by Friday. I can pick it up on the way out and bolt it on once we get there..

Tomorrow, the other carb and the rear brake caliper.. Yech!!!

We've got wheels!!! Back end is done (except for the rear brake caliper) and wheels/tires are on!

Mole, you wanted to see one of my wheels all buffed out? Pics are up. The one wheel I posted was so oxidized it was almost primer gray. I used a mushroom buff with tripoli and a 4" loose wheel on a flex shaft. Took about 30 mins total for each wheel.. Came out awesome!

Soon as I get the brake caliper reassembled (later tonight) I'll bolt it on, bleed the brakes and get that end back on terra firma. It's lookin' pretty sweet so far.
