Proper cleaning method - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

How do I properly clean the compound from the piece when switching wheel and compound?
I get a slight hazy cloud at spots is this from improper cleaning? How do I get the haze off?

I assume the haze is compound remnants. I use brake parts cleaner and either soak, or spray and use a small foam paintbrush to "scrub" gunk off.

I'm looking into an ultrasound solution as well...

Thanks I'll give that a try. I have some spray Brake cleaner on hand.

Laquer thinner will work too
