OK I've about had it with the intake on my car... I can get a reflection out of it, but not a mirror like shine! I've been playing around with the back plate on it and wetsanded up to 1500 then hit it with tripoli, white rouge, then mothers mag & aluminum polish and this is how it came out.
![]() It looks a lot better than what it did before, has somewhat of a shine, but no where near what I'd like it to be at. Now heres a piece of aluminum we had laying around, sanded it with 100, 180, 320 and thats all... Hit it with tripoli, white rouge, and mothers and this is how it came out. Both pieces are aluminum but why is this one have a LOT better shine to it? I did everything the same on each. Maybe I need to go back over my intake plate again? But when I kept going over it with tripoli and white rouge nothing changed so I stopped. ![]() |
