gettng ready to polish a sportbike - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

Here's a new topic for all you sportbike polishers. How much of the bike do you take apart in order to begin polishing. Do you actually remove the swingarm from the bike or do you leave it on? If you remove the swingarm how do you do it without breaking the chain? In the past, I have taken all of the plastics and brackets off as well as the swingarm. I then have transported the bike to my local shop to get the chain riveted back on. Transporting the bikes is cumbersome. Does anyone else have any input?

I always just work around the chain. That area is hard to see! I bet I could acheive your finish with half the work!

what type of a buffing tool do you use? I use the handheld buffer on this site.
