Default Arbor size of buffs

I am soon going to upgrade to the casewell 3/4hp buffing motor, currently using a 1/2hp bench grinder that bogs very easily(only 1.5 amps).I am currently using 6" buffs for aluminum. My only problem is the new buffing motor has a 3/4" arbor, whereas my grinder has a 1/2" arbor. Is there anyway I can just drill out a bigger hole in the buffs so I can use them on the new motor? The buffs are fairly new themselves,so I'd hate to hafta buy new buffs just cause of the bigger arbor.
