Metals & Wheels - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

I know using different compounds on the same wheel is a no no, but is there any problem polishing different metals on the same wheel? Say I'm doing Aluminum with a black wheel and want to do a steel piece.

Should I have a separate set of wheels for steel

Just wondering ... .

you can use the wheels on other metal .. but for as cheap as they are you can have a set for steel to ... i use mine till they fit on a die grinder then toss them ......

Thanks, I kind of figured it would be best to have new wheels but haven't done much with steel yet.
