The best thing you could do is to drill out the holes in your part to ensure there is no corrosion left, then fill them using a Solder Paste - http://www.caswellplating.com/solderit.htm Then plate the part with our Pot Metal Primer - http://www.caswellplating.com/alzinc.htm You can then copper, nickel and chrome as normal.
