What is mildest combo for stainless?? - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

What is the mildest combo (Type of wheel/type of rouge) I can use to polish stainless trim? The trim has very slight scratches on it. I think the scratches were caused by using cheap polish and cheaper towels. The trim was polished a year or two ago by a pro and looked perfect at that time. I just want to try the mildest step I can and see if that takes care of things...

Have you checked out the Buff book on the Caswell site. Caswell says sisal/black to rough and spiral sewn/green to finish.
