Default Polishing sterling and silver plate

Hi, I am new to the board and want to know if I can use a bench grinder for polishing sterling and silver plate flatware rather than doing it all by hand. If so, can you give me an idea of what I will need at a minimum to start? Thanks for any help you can give!!

You\'ll want to use a VERY LIGHT TOUCH on these items so you don\'t remove too much metal.

Use some canton flannel wheels and blue or red compounds.

See http://www.caswellplating.com/buffman.htm for more info and http://www.caswellplating.com/buffsupp.htm for links to supplies.

Thanks for your help! I will order these items and let you know how it goes. I\'m looking forward to not having to be Ben-Gay\'s best customer!
