Not sure if this is even the problem, but here it goes.
I'm working on an intake pipe for a mustang, and I started greaseless at 80 did the whole part and it came out all hazed. I moved up to 120, and still, areas of the part are hazed. So I grabbed my palm sander and put 60 grit on there, and held it on a hazed area for about 30 second and I finally got down to metal, but in that 30 seconds it pretty much destroyed the sand paper. When I hit it with greasless the part/coating rips the greaseless compound off the wheel. Am I dealing with an anodized part? How do I get this coating off? |
