on the small parts i do, i have found that for starters a felt bob in the die grinder w/ greasless works wonders. the bob are in all kinds of shapes so you should be able to find one that works for most tight spots. once you get done, you can also use the bobs for compound. the only caution i can give is load the bobs slowly or they will get overloaded and not work. best of luck bro.
ps: remember the pics so we can admire please.

For initial grinding, cartridge rolls (tapered and straight) in the die grinder. If the grinder or Dremel is variable speed, can use felt bob with greaseless or (preferably) felt bob or mini-wheel with setup glue/abrasive. Too high a speed will throw the greaseless or setup glue off. Wear eye protection.

Polish with bobs and mini-wheels and emery. With proper grinding grits that might be enough.
