Carnauba wax causing rapid oxidation?

I noticed some oxidation on a few parts I recently buffed and installed on my bike. I did some searching on the web and one online retailer stated that carnauba wax was acidic therefore speeding up the oxidization process. I figured it was just another way to endorse their product so I did some Google'n. I found that not only will acids harm aluminum, so can alkylines, and that only neutral compounds should be used. That's about as far as I've gone with my search so far. What do ya'll think? I'll do some more searching and see what else I can come up with.

Nope .. you need to use high grade carnuba wax not the stuff you buy in the autoparts store. you want top of the line. most waxes on the market have water in them that is where you are having problems . i use the same carnuba wax on my parts that i ship out that i use on high dollar cars never had any problems at all

Ah yes, the $1,000,000 question.

i get my wax from a detail supply house.. caswell sells some top of the line waxes to check with them if all else fails go to the local autobosy shop and sneak a peak at there bottles and offer to purchase a little from them ..
