Default Polishing Steel
After I polish raw steel how can I keep it from rusting? I know I can clear coat it. Will it rust as fast now that it has been polished if I don't
clear coat it? Any suggestions?

Default Corrosion on Steel
Polishing does not slow down corrosion.

You can apply a wax to it. Some polishes like Flitz claim to slow corrosion. You can clear coat it.
