Default Getting best possible shine out of aluminum?

Hey all, let me start with a little intro I guess. I was referred to this forum by a friend who got me into polishing (now i love it). I have browsed around this forum for a while, but decided to sign up and finally post. Anyway, I'm brand new at the polishing game, so I need all the advice I can get.

On to my topic...

I'm polishing up a few odds and ends pieces from my car (mainly intake tubing--aluminum). These parts were already semi polished before, I'm just touching them up. Anyway, when I use the white compound on a loose cotton wheel, the shine really comes out and it looks good (a lot better than when I started anyway). But, I want to get the best possible shine out of these, since I will be showing the car this year and these parts are visible. After the loose cotton wheel, there are still very fine scratches left behind that are only visible at the right angle, but they are there. What would be the best way to achieve that ultra mirror shine? Should I maybe consider using the Red compound (which I guess is Jeweler's Rouge), with a canton flannel wheel?

thanks guys

if you have the compound starter kit then i would try the red on flannel and then the blue on flannel.
