Default Mirror smooth cast iron Chevy engine block

I've got about 200 hours clocked into this so far. It's still a work in progress as I'm still in the process of smoothing the lifter valley and the bulkheads on the inner dimensions of the crank case. I was pretty surprised: when you get iron polished out right, it's almost indistinguishable from aluminum. For those concerned that this will be a wasted effort once the block gets wet, the plan is once the whole block is complete I'm going to candy clearcoat it.

Looks great. I've done the inside to get the oil back down to the bottom faster but only thought about doing the outside. Remember the possibility of extra heat from loss of surface area for heat dissipation.

Very nice. Must be a labor of love - I can't imagine sending out a bill for that, lol...
