A little help with water spots.

If some bonehead were to leave a buffed cast aluminum part submerged in their simple green/water cleaning solution too long and the part had some discoloration and spots on it, how would they go about removing this? Will it have to be buffed out, or can another solution be used to get it clean? Thanks in advance!

This bonehead left a part in plain water used for wet sanding and had a similar problem. The only thing I could do that worked was to clean and rebuff the part.

You can also try a polish like flitz or wenol, this will get the shine back...

well i am glad to see the bonehead club is not limited to me . i did the same earlier on and had to rebuff a set of aluminum valve covers. what a pain. i hate the free redos.
