Hello,
I'm looking into getting a part of mine polished instead of chromed (link below). I have a problem though, my welds have small pits and bumps in them. Is there something that can be put over/in them that can be polished? if not, what can i do? Link to pictures http://community.webshots.com/album/548933779TAFlBP I want the bracket, elbow and backplate of the cone polished, not the cone itself. Luke |

Any "bumps" could be ground out with cartridge rolls. You could get a nice clean radius around those connections with tapered rolls. You can't take _too_ much off, of course, so if there are deep pits, you're stuck with them.
Maybe fill them with a metallic filler. If you have it plated they could fill the pits with copper if you need a show finish. |
