We have one at work to polish stainless steel plates. It's an Imeas, made in Italy. Uses vaccuum to hold the plate down, and a stack of vent buffs 22" in diameter that ocillates back and forth as the table is moved across the face of the buffs. Hope this helps.

I don't know any specifics because I didn't operate the machine. I'm pretty sure they only buffed stainless plates with it though. Unfortunately I no longer work there either so it might be a little difficult to find out any more information. Sorry I couldn't help you more.
