first off what is the finsh you are starting with? without seeing the blades i can make the following basic suggestion. start with a handful of the felt bobs that caswell has and some 320 greaseless compound. the use the 400 grit greaseless. then on to emory and then stainless(green) bar. finally if needed red bar.
the difference between greaseless and grease bars is the binder medium that the abrasive is in. almost all of the polishing bars except blue has some kind of abrasive in it. the grease bar flows a little aesier but the abrasive level starts about where the greaseless leaves off. hope this helps bro.

thanks for the imput i have finished the blades by sanding them starting with 400,600,1000 and finished them in 1200. that where i'm starting the polishing process from. i'm not sure if that changes anything. if it does please let me know. and once again thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

yes that changes the process greatly. since greaseless grit is close to equal grit of paper, then the 320 and 400 would be a great step backwards. i would start out with the felt bobs and green bar. if this does not give the lustre you want then back up a step to the brown bar or the black bar. then go foward again. as for the help, it is my pleasure bro.
