Aluminum polished pattern

I am looking for a particular media that will allow me to polish a bright aluminum sheets, leaving a radial brushing pattern. Please see attach picture. This pattern was produced using felt mounted to a retrofitted milling machine. Our current felt does not hold up to our kerosene lubrication and breaks down after a few passes. We are also having trouble cutting a deep enough pattern into the surface.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have to offer.

I've seen that done with Scotchbrite flat pads or steel brush like a cup brush. A fine grade Scotchbrite would last much longer than felt. Just a thought.

I would think that 320 - grit or so greaseless compound could be used to do that.
