Default Is the Scubber wheel an effective replacement for tedious sanding?

I'm a noob to the forum so hello all!!!

I am going to place an order over the weekend for some buffing supplies and I was considering trying the Scrubber wheel.

My question is can the scrubber wheel duplicate the same results as sanding?

I deal with "under the hood" parts. Normally, I sand/polish with abrasive tapers up to 320 before I begin buffing with sisal/emery. I am wondering if the scubber wheel can save me some time and yield the same results?

Thanks

Never tried it - looks like a Scotch Brite pad. It might do some smoothing but I doubt it'll last long enough to be economical.

Why don't you try one and let us know how it comes out?

The scrubber wheel is great for removing light plating or leaving a satin finish on an item to be plated but will not duplicate sanding.
