Cast aluminum

Can you polish Cast aluminum I have a few pieces on my motorcycle I would like to polish .I am new to polishing thanks for any info.

ABSOLUTELY! yes you can polish cast aluminum, but the quality of the casting will impact the quality of the finished part. the casting quality of my intake plenum is pretty poor and the finish wasn't nearly as good as the finish on my master cylinders.

hello m8 its been a while since i have been on, looking at the engine bay it hits me there has been a lot of man hours gone into getting it all to that high standard, well done as this has boosted me on to get my project finished,i have been practicing the last few months on brass, chrome, then getting more confident and moving onto alum n steel,i am at a stage now where my friend wants me to do parts for customers in his motorcycle shop..its a little scary as its someone elses parts, but what the hell.
