All the GSXR's I have polished (5 or 6) have had anodizing on them.
That can give the look you are describing. If the bike is completely stripped of all other parts, motor, electrics, bearings, ect... you can remove the anodizing with spray oven cleaner. DO NOT walk away, let the oven cleaner foam up for 5 min and during that time you can spray it 2 or 3 times to keep it covered. Then rinse well with water and green scrub pad, repeat the proses if needed. WARNING This may not be the most proper or legal way to do this. DO NOT breath the fumes or let the oven cleaner contact any part of your body. You may see results that are scary at first, but once you go back to sanding, things should go allot quicker. |
