Ive just got my greaseless i ordered. This is just to make sure ive bought the right kind stuff. Ive took a pic and whats throwing me is peoples talk about letting it dry. These looks like similar bars to the polishing compound just a little squidger.
![]() please tell me ive bought the right kind stuff before i open it? |

yeah, that's the right stuff.....a value pack too lol. put them in the fridge, in a sealed container of some sort. if you leave them exposed to the air overnight, they become useless. they're ok in the sealed factory wrapping until you open them. i use big individual ziploc bags. get the ones that are easy to seal (with gloves on).
when you get ready to put it on, just hold it up to the spinning wheel and let it go on. if the wheel is new i let it run against something for a minute, like a wheel rake....or the wrench i use to tighten the buffs on. once it's loaded up, stop! let it dry for a little bit. it'll be pretty hard when it's dry. you may not get a uniform covering the first couple loads. |

arrrrggggh, wish i had seen this before i went to bed, i opened one this morning and had a little go with it, spun it up on my felt bobs and covered it, dried it with hairdryer and had a go, very impressed. Was put in the shed but its like a firdge in there anyway
just gotta buy some smaller felt bobs now as the ones i just ordered are too wide to get into the places i need, typical. Got work tonight but will be having another go at it tommorow. Can you heat up em with a hairdryer to make them melt a bit so u can just dunk the felt bobs in a runny gue? How about loading up loose mops? is that possible? Thinking along the lines of loose mops get into more creveses etc so maybe they would sand in more creveses? Last edited by Tng21; 01-26-2007 at 11:51 AM. |

just one question, how long does everyone elses greaseless last?
Ive been having a go with it today, on a sandblasted rocker cover for a bmw e30 and although its doing a good job, ive loaded up a wheel twice with two layers of this, heated it with hairdryer to dry it out quickly, and ive only done about half of the cover. Bit worried its gonna use too much and not be worth using, cost effective wise? |

Each loading will last longer if you stay away from edges, which will snatch it off the wheel real quick. |
