You can use it with almost any wheel except for sisal. A tight wheel (like a spiral) is pretty much the norm. The yellow treated wheels last longer.

oh uh, why not use it on a sisal, ive been using mine on sisals

It just doesn't stick very well most of the time. If it's working for you, go for it.
