Some people load up several tools at once and have them ready...it should save a little time. |

i've never really paid attention to how long it lasts, but as long as you stay away from edges it goes for several minutes it seems. you should not use more than one compound on a wheel....and with greaseless, more than one wheel per compound is a good idea because one wheel will dry while you're using the other one.

yep as they guys say, using a hairdryer certainly helps me, i find its best to use it on heat for about 30 seconds mayeb more, then flick the switch to cool and it goes hard withing a few more seconds, then load it up again. On felt bobs using a dremel type tool, ive found that it dont last too long really but for the short time its sanding, its takes out a LOT of time rather quickly. Ive bought about 8 bobs of each size and its a good idea keep them all seperate within grits.
Gotta have use one grit on one bob, if you went to a finer grit say 300 after using 240 on the same one, you'll be defeating the object of sanding smoother because the rougher 240 grit will still come through and you're back to square one. On small tiny bobs and slightly larger ones, ive found its gonna cut out on so much time for me i couldnt do without it. Look through a few of my threads with other info that may help. Gareth |

Also, with felt bobs I usually use a hacksaw blade or sharp knife to make lengthwise cuts around the bob (not too deep) - it gives the greaseless a way to stick better. Additionally, when I use felt bobs with regular compound, I clean them with a hacksaw blade or 80-grit paper. |

like mpierich says, give it a few coats, on the felt bobs i load it up loads of times, takes a while but then it stops you loading up more frequently. Havent cut into my felt bobs like mpierich suggests so might give that a go but mine seems to hold pretty well anyway. mpierich by lengthways, do you mean from the tips on the bob to the widest part hearer the dremel tool, or around the circumfrence of the bob?
