Default Looking for metal wax/sealer

I'm finishing my first polish project and would like to put the final step on this weekend. Does anyone know of local stores that stock wax & sealer? I've tried some automotive stores with no luck. Eventually I'll order off this site but was wanting something this weekend.

Thanks

Do you want wax or a sealer? Any auto wax would work for that...or Flitz polish leaves a coating.

If you want to seal it, use Zoopseal. I don't like sealers because they're not forever (in outdoor use), and when they go bad you have to strip, repolish, and re-seal.

I did not know that about the sealer. I'm at the stage where I've finished with the white compound and it looks fine. I've read about different ways to protect the polish when your done and this is where I'm confused. I'm just looking for the right Flitz product or something like it to protect the polish. I realize with the part being outside I will have to put a wax or something on it each month.

Do I go to a non-abrasive metal cleaner after the white wheel then to a wax?

I have tried different waxes and sealers for parts that are used outside. And none of those really protects the parts that way that it should be - i think.
I tried clear paint and clear powder coat. Both works that way that i want it to protect the parts. But if the coating is getting chappy or the coating has a hole you have a problem.
Or yuo are polishing/clearing the parts every week...
Thats my experience

_Properly polished_ aluminum is not hard to maintain even when exposed to weather. The lower forks on my motorcycle still look like chrome after several years. I hit them with regular Flitz polish (by hand) once a month if I'm feeling ambitious. The Flitz does leave a bit of wax which I'm sure helps for a while.

Most "oxidation" people talk about is either dirt, or the clearcoat going bad. An insufficently polished surface will collect dirt in the scratches, whereas a slicker surface allows no place for the dirt to collect. Most any type of wax will fill scratches and help keep the dirt away.
