Default can I use a die grinder with a buffing wheel? hazy reflection questions too

I dont have the funds to purchase a bench machine, i can get a die grinder and use the bit attatchment with a buffing whe and rouge. will this get the job done? I finished one wheel up to 3000 grit and the reflection is cloudy. will it buff out to a mirror finish?

Too fast, unless you get a variable speed model - and then it prolly wouldn't have the guts to turn a 4" wheel. Use a drill or flex shaft.

Yep, it sure should.

with the air one you can control the speed. i thought a drill wouldnt be fast enough?

Yes. I use an air die grinder with a two inch wheel and it works fine for small pieces.

If you can slow it down and still have enough power, it will work. But normal fixed die grinder speeds run the risk of exploding a decent-sized wheel. The safety factor is up to the operator.

A drill is fast enough for what you want to do.
