Default Anodizing removal...

I saw a link in the forums here to Anodizing removal that Caswell sells (did several searches on the site, still can't find it), and was curious if it was better\stronger than just using oven cleaner? I remember trying the oven cleaner on my R1 years ago, and did not seem to do much after an hour or so....

Default Re: Anodizing removal...

a mixture of sodium hydroxide and water will remove anodizing. you have to watch it, as it will eat the base metal also.

Question Re: Anodizing removal...

Hello destroyer125 i am going to purchase a 25KG bag 0f sodium hydroxide, what would you suggest the ratio to water be, and for alloy wheels how long would you leave it on? also what would you clean it off with ?
i have been using UK oven cleaner and have left it on for 2 days. pretty **** to put it mild.
