This is the stand I made for the Sears Buffer. The Metal stand was from
Menard's and was 23$, I used 3/4" x 2'x4' Birch plywood (14$) for the base and counter sunk the bolts so the base is flat and stable. (Bolts & wing nuts I had laying around) This makes it flat to work with as you stand on the board, and easy to put away when not needed. (will fit under 1 of my work benches)

Stand is 31lbs, board is 20+ lbs & Buffer is 38 lbs. + with me on it at 190lbs, I don't think it will move much when in use

I don't think the holes on the stand will line up with the buffer, so I will prob need to make an adapter plate out of some scrap wood when the buffer shows up.

Just drill holes in the in your buffer mounting stand that correspond to the hole in your buffer motor, bolt it down, and and it's a done deal!

Well, that first, if the buffer is smaller than the stand, else the wood adapter.....

No not really. If the buffer is smaller than the mounting plate you cut the mounting plate to the size of your buffer base. That way with the bigger things that you buff, you won't run into the mounting plate! Also if the corners of your mounting plate stick you from under the buffer, you want to cover them in slit rubber tubing! Nuff said.

opps....I ment if the buffer was larger than the stand

I am going to have to drill some holes regardless, as the stand has 2 centered slots, and the sears buffers have holes on all 4 corners.....no biggie

Buffer showed up today, and has holes in the center of both sides of the base, so it will bolt right up to my stand w/o any cutting\drilling.....how nice.
